Call for papers

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the 15th International Conference on Information Technologies and Information Society (ITIS 2024), annually organized by the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto.

ITIS 2024 focuses on the potential impact of big data technologies and methods in the EU’s twin green & digital transition, and brings together experts in data sciences and related fields to discuss the latest research and developments in using big data for sustainability and digitalization. The conference aims to provide a platform for collaboration and the development of new ideas and approaches for using big data to support the EU’s green transition and digitalization approach.

This year’s event entitled HARNESSING THE POWER OF BIG DATA FOR GREEN AND DIGITAL TRANSITION: Exploring the potential of big data as a tool for sustainable digitalisation will focus on the following topics:

Submission guidelines

We invite all scientists working in the fields covered by the conference to make a submission for consideration for presentation at the conference and publication in its proceedings. Best contributions will be peer-reviewed and published with a recognized publisher.

All submissions must be written in English and should be between 10,000 and 20,000 characters (excluding spaces), which corresponds to approximately 5 to 10 A4 pages.

Contributions should follow the conference guidelines for submission, which are available in Word and LaTeX format.

Publication of contributions

All accepted papers will be published in peer-reviewed conference proceedings.

High-quality papers will be invited to extend their research and submit it for a peer-reviewed publication in a journal. The choice of publisher/journal will depend on the nature and the quality of the received papers.
